About Max Cruz

I’m a 33-year-old guy from Colorado who used to work retail and now investigates the adult internet for a living. That’s the whole bio. There’s no agency behind this site, no SEO farm, no VC, no team. Just me, a few throwaway accounts, and the irritating realization that nobody else was actually doing the work.

Why This Site Exists

There are roughly four thousand websites reviewing cam sites, OnlyFans alternatives, AI girlfriends, and hookup apps. I’ve read most of them. Almost all of them have the same problems: they never actually used the product, their “Top 10” lists are paid placements with a thesaurus thrown at them, their pros and cons are vague enough to apply to any platform on the planet, and they tell you everything is “great” and “user-friendly” and “highly recommended.”

That’s not a review. That’s an affiliate link wearing a costume.

I got tired of clicking through ten of these to figure out whether a $79.99 token pack was a rip-off or a deal, and what a 50% platform cut actually means for the person on the other side of the camera. So I started writing the reviews I wanted to read.

What I Actually Do

For every review on this site:

  • I make a real account with a real email
  • I deposit real money (usually $50–$200 depending on the platform)
  • I use it the way a real user would, for at least two weeks
  • I read every Reddit thread, every Trustpilot review, every consumer-protection forum I can find
  • I do the math nobody else does — what a token actually costs, where the money actually goes, what a “$19.95 supporter tier” actually returns

Then I write it up. With receipts.

The reviews are long because honest reviews are long. The verdicts are specific because vague verdicts don’t help anyone. The numbers are checked because I’d rather be slow than wrong.

What I Don’t Do

  • I don’t take payment to inflate a score
  • I don’t accept “press accounts” or comped subscriptions — every account is paid for out of my own pocket
  • I don’t write Top 10 lists where the rankings change based on who paid this month
  • I don’t pretend I tested something I didn’t
  • I don’t review platforms I haven’t personally used for at least 14 days

If you ever see something on this site that violates one of those rules, email me and tell me which review. I’ll take it down and post a correction.

How I Make Money

This site has affiliate links. If you sign up to a platform through one of my links, I earn a small commission. That commission doesn’t change the price you pay. It also doesn’t change what I write — the worst review on this site is for a platform I would still get paid to promote if you signed up. I don’t believe a good review is more valuable than a true one.

The full breakdown of how affiliate commissions work, what they pay, and where they stop — is on the Affiliate Disclaimer page. It’s longer than this one.

About the Name

“Rated 18+” is the slowest, most boring brand name I could think of for an adult review site. That’s intentional. I’m not selling sex. I’m not selling fantasy. I’m selling information. The boring name is the point.

Suggest a Review

If there’s a platform you want me to look at — cam site, OnlyFans alternative, AI girlfriend app, hookup app, dating site, scam alert — email me. I read everything. I respond to most of it. I won’t review something I think is unsafe or illegal, and I won’t review something I can’t legitimately sign up for from the US.

What’s Next

I publish a new review roughly every two weeks. The current queue is Stripchat, CamSoda, and Fansly — in that order, unless something more interesting jumps the line. Subscribe in the footer to know when each one drops. I won’t email you about anything else.
